Clissold House East London wedding photography with Olivier & Tonia.

Clissold House East London wedding photography

I love a small intimate London wedding AKA a micro wedding. I think it’s amazing that couples now feel like they have more permission to have a smaller more cosy day with those who are closest to them. The big wedding is not for everyone.

London is one of the best places to be able to do this with it’s beautiful town halls and cosy pubs with gorgeous function rooms. And that is exactly what Olivier & Tonia did.

In the summer of 2022, on a sunny day in East London these two chose to get married at Clissold House in Stoke Newington. I spent many hours walking around this park during lockdown so it was a delight to be able to go back and photograph a wedding there.

I met everyone outside where they were all greeting one another, some people had travelled far to be here and many had not seen each other before the pandemic so this was a even more special occasion. We then had the ceremony which was short but sweet as most registry weddings are. We then headed outside for confetti where Olivier & Tonia were greeted by a surprise performance by some of Olivier’s music students.

We then all got on an open top double decker bus and headed over to the Marksman Pub in Hackney where they have the coolest private room upstairs and a really lovely terrace for outdoor drinks. I really loved this pub and had the joy of eating with everyone and the food was AMAZING so would highly recommend.

We had some lovely speeches and then popped outside for some quick couple photos before I then said my goodbyes. The most perfect of small days and a joy to capture. I hope you enjoy the images.
