Kent Wedding Photographer with Harriet & Nick.

While a lot of my work is London based I would really love to photograph more weddings in Kent. I moved to Folkestone in April 2022 and absolutely love it here. Super connection to the city BUT the beach and sea swimming on my doorstep with a really thriving queer and creative community. Best of both worlds.

I would really love to shoot some more local weddings though which is why I thought I would blog Harriet & Nick’s glorious summer Kent wedding from 2022. I am always here for couples doing their weddings the way THEY want to do them. Not caring about traditions or trends but instead putting a day together that is truly about them and their community.

This is exactly what Harriet & Nick did.

They had a very small ceremony at Wandsworth Town Hall a few days before the celebration which took the pressure off and made that part really intimate with their closest people. Then a few days later I met them at Sandwich Bay in Kent on a VERY hot afternoon for their couple photos. I was a bit anxious about these as the sun was big and bright and this where all of my skills as a photographer needed to come out to play. We had a lot of fun playing around on the beach and I love what we made together.

We then headed back to Harriets family home, nestled in the Kent countryside near Ham! I love it when couples are able to do this. It’s always a great decision as it can be so relaxed and fun. This was no different and I love that the barn had been turned into a party space because this family loves hosting big get togethers.

We arrived to a massive confetti tunnel which I won’t lie took a little while to safely organise on a road. And then it was straight into the barn for speeches. Which were all deeply heartfelt and beautiful with plenty of big laughs thrown in.

It was then BBQ, garden games and enjoying the sunshine for a few hours. I loved how many different spaces people had to relax and be together. As the sun went down and the full moon rose the band started to play in the barn and these lot all knew what the assignment was when it came to partying.

I loved everything about this wedding and I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
